Shh…Lean in closer… I never buy White Company full price. There, I’ve said it. So imagine my joy when their latest up to 50% off sale flash up in my inbox yesterday.
Understated and sophisticated, one, its pieces are timeless, classic and stand the test of time and, two, they really appeal across the age spectrum.
Here’s a few cases in point for you:
♥ One of the first gifts I was given as a little girl was a jewellery box and I still have it to this day. So when it came to choosing a christening gift for my boyfriend’s niece and goddaughter, this mother of pearl jewellery box (blow and which is now sadly out of stock – bring it back!) jumped out at me straight away. At less than a year old, she’s unable to appreciate it just yet but I know she’ll love it when she’s older. There’s a similar pebblegrain leather version in the sale which I’d very happily have on my dressing table as well as give to her.
There’s also a smaller version available here which is reduced from £60 to £42.
♥ Yes, we are coming to spring but now is the time to make like a squirrel and hoard away slippers for next winter. I also find slippers make excellent gifts whether for you grandma, mum, mother-in-law or sister. I have bought them for at least three people much to their delight. Another big win is that they are machine washable which I was very glad to discover when I spilt nut butter on them half an hour after putting them on.
♥ Another great gift are The White Company’s mother of pearl photograph frames with silver plated trim. They are quite pricey but they make beautiful gifts (they come in a nice box too) especially for a wedding or special birthday (I bought my mum one for her sixtieth) and they are very robustly made and really quite heavy so will stand the test of time.
Again, there’s also a smaller version available (3″x3″) which is reduced from £30 to £21.
♥ Newcombe bathroom accessories are classic white and there is quite a large range (toothbrush holder, soap dish, toilet brush holder and so on). I have the rectangular tray in my bathroom and it looks really crisp and cool. I like to keep my soap dispenser on it so it doesn’t drip all over the bathroom.
Other items that I LOVE are:
♥ this amazing pirate skull and crossbones cushion cover for a little one:
♥ this sheepskin rug which although reduced from £400 to £280 I can’t quite justify….
♥ this champagne trug (reduced from £95 to £66.50) which isn’t on a day to day very practical but, then again, practicality has never really been my strong point…
White Company sale – cheers!
